Mike has worked in financial services for over 30 years and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisors (APMA®), and the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) designations. His career longevity is due to a dedicated, successful service to his clients and recently has joined Northstar Wealth Partners.

According to Mike, his approach to financial planning is very similar to the holistic concepts of NSWP. He likes to focus on long-term working relationships with clients and take a comprehensive approach to financial strategies. He enjoys the development of multi-generational clients and planning the future for grandparents, parents, and grandchildren.

His self-acknowledged forte in dealing with clients is his ability to listen to their goals and concerns, then maximize their resources to achieve financial independence. His specialty from the heart is providing solutions to clients that require special needs planning. From personal experience, Mike understands the challenges it presents to families and empathizes with the concerns for meeting future needs.

In his free time, Mike enjoys golfing and is an avid runner. He is a huge college basketball fan and enjoys rooting for the University of Virginia, Seton Hall, and of course the UCONN women’s team.

Family Riley currently lives in Waterbury, CT which includes Mike, his wife Eileen, their daughter Molly, a cat named Clarence, and a pug named Howard. His son Ian is a law student at NYU and other son Colin teaches history and psychology at Saddle River Day School in New Jersey.
